What we can do for you

We are a Berlin-based UI/UX agency dedicated to helping you create digital products with outstanding usability. Whether you're starting a new project with a rough idea or already have a crystal clear product vision, we meet you where you are with a range of services, including user research and strategic planning, as well as product-, experience-, and visual design.

We help you create digital products with outstanding usability.

Research and Strategy

We conduct stakeholder interviews to lay the foundation for open communication lines and align your team on a shared vision. By analyzing your competition, we uncover potential UX opportunities. And we do user research to make sure you fully understand your customers' needs and challenges, so there will be fewer revisions and less wasted time further down the road.

Product Design

Based on the Research and Strategy phase, we flesh out your application's core elements, such as information architecture, user flows, and wireframes. With usability heuristics in mind, we develop the best possible layout for your particular use case. We then test the resulting concepts to identify problems before they cost you time and money.

Interface Design

We kick off the Interface Design phase with a Brand Attributes Workshop. This helps the team to agree on common terminology for the visual design language. Based on moodboards, we create mid- to high-fidelity mockups of your application to define the purpose of color, shape, fonts, and icons. The final outcome is a detailed, pixel-perfect interface design, including all screens, elements, states, and animations.

FAQ

What separates us from other design agencies?

We are passionate about music and music production. We thoroughly understand the industry's language and the needs and goals of modern music makers, professional producers, and musicians. Our work is focused on making music software more accessible, fun, and easy to use. While many designers work on consumer products, apps, marketing websites, and services across multiple industries, our design skillset and personal music backgrounds allow us to design highly customized products that we would be excited to use ourselves.

Do we also work on branding?

Sure! As a foundation for your brand strategy, we'll help you frame your mission and vision statements. These will form the core of your company's identity. We then create a visual language for your company or product line. Assets such as logo, typography, and color palettes form the basic guidelines for the rest of your project's touch-points.

Do we also work on non-music related projects?

Yes, we also work on projects from other domains. We are proficient in analyzing and understanding new topics. Our human-centered design approach is a practical and repeatable procedure for arriving at innovative solutions and can be applied to any field. Putting the people you serve at the center of our design process enables us to come up with answers to any problem.

What are our rates?

We offer fixed prices when your project's scope is clearly defined to deliver on time and on budget. When the scope is dynamic or not yet precise, we prefer to be paid on a time and materials basis. Our pricing is dependent on your project's scope, timeline, and the deliverables you want us to produce.

We can always adjust to a limited budget, but we believe that a successful, lasting design needs time to be taken through a creative process. It is an investment that adds value to your product and increases customer retention and market share.

What does our process look like?

Whether you're starting a new project with a rough idea or already have a crystal clear product vision, we meet you where you are.

This helps the product team to agree on common terminology for the visual design language. Based on moodboards, we create mid- to high-fidelity mockups of your application to define the purpose of color, shape, fonts, and icons. The final outcome is a detailed, pixel-perfect interface design, including all screens, elements, states, and animations.

What deliverables do we provide at the end of a project?

The final deliverables for most of the projects we work on are detailed, development-ready designs made in Figma. We produce assets or prepare a Zeplin project, including accurate tailored specs and code snippets. During a typical UI/UX design project, we deliver the following assets:

Research & Strategy phase

  • User research takeaways
  • UI/UX research document

Product Design phase

  • Wireframes
  • Interactive prototype
  • User testing report

Interface Design phase

  • Moodboards
  • Detailed design
  • UI animations
  • Design specification
  • Design system

What if you don't like the final result?

We will never surprise you with a final result. We work in short cycles and keep our work as transparent as possible. We don't disappear for weeks – we become part of your team, work closely with you, and communicate with clarity. Most importantly, you take part in all decision making from the beginning of the project until our last day working together.

How can you get a proposal for your project?

Please send us an email to hello@resonant.design outlining your project. We usually reply within 24 hours to schedule an introductory call. To really understand your idea, we will ask plenty of questions about your project goals, audience, budget, timeline, and other essential details. Once we have estimated all costs and a rough timeline, we will email a proposal as a starting point for discussion. Nothing is set in stone until you have fully understood how we work and what you are paying for.

Tell us about your project

Music software and virtual instruments are our specialties. But we’re always excited to work on non-music related projects.
